text adapted from Psalm 96, 98, 149 of the New King James Bible
Sing unto the LORD a new song!
Let us sing unto the LORD a new song!
Alleluia!
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Sing to the LORD, bless his name;
Declare his glory among the nations,
Declare his wonders among the peoples.
Alleluia!
Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
Sing to the Lord with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
With trumpets and the sound of a horn;
Sing unto the LORD a new song!
Shout joyfully before the LORD, the King.
Alleluia!
Sing unto the LORD a new song!
Let the saints be joyful in glory.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
To wreck vengeance upon the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
To bind their kings with chains,
To execute on them the written judgement--
This honor have all His saints.
Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell in it;
Let the rivers clap their hands;
For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth.
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
And the peoples with His truth.
LORD, have mercy upon us.
Alleluia!
Amen.
